Job summary

Aon Centre for Innovation and Analytics (ACIA) in Dublin is hiring a Solution Architect to design cloud-native analytics infrastructure and data pipelines. You will work with data scientists, engineers, and analysts to deliver scalable, secure solutions on the DASP platform.

You will lead architectural decisions, create design diagrams, and mentor teams on DevOps practices while collaborating with Risk Capital and Enterprise Architecture stakeholders. This role is hybrid and based in Dublin.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
• A number of years in a technical lead role in application development or architecture.
• Experience building and deploying complex applications, particularly event-driven cloud-native applications, and integrating enterprise solutions.
• Experience in Agile/DevOps, particularly Azure DevOps, consulting with application development teams on same.
• Cloud technology, ideally Azure PaaS services and serverless compute including Azure Container Apps, App Service, Functions, API Management, App Gateway and Storage; AWS PaaS such as S3, Lambda, Step Functions, ECS, Docker, SNS, SQS, Kinesis, SageMaker.
• Understanding of distributed application design, patterns, and documenting standards.
• Experience with modern data stack technologies (Databricks, Airflow, Snowflake, StreamSets) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect solutions leveraging advanced analytics, data pipelines, web portals, statistical models, ML and AI within DASP.
• Collaborate with Application Developers, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Business Analysts, Product Owners and Program Managers.
• Explain complex solutions to non-technical audiences and elicit business requirements.
• Produce design diagrams and document standards; work with cross-team architects.
