Overview

Our large Civil Engineering Company is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable HSQE Advisor to join their award-winning team. You will be mainly responsible for ensuring the highest standards of Health and Safety are upheld across multiple infrastructure projects. You will be based in their regional office in Kilkenny and will include regular visits to sites in the Southeast region.

Responsibilities
  • Promote a positive health and safety culture and implement and monitor company HSQE policies and procedures across all sites.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with relevant Health & Safety legislation and regulations.
  • Deliver toolbox talks, coaching sessions, and training to staff and contractors, and advise site teams on improvements and compliance matters.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, with a Degree or equivalent qualification in Health & Safety or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of HSQE regulations, ISO standards, and best practices, with experience in the construction sector (utilities experience is a strong advantage).
  • Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills, a full, valid Irish driver\'s licence, and the ability to confidently influence and challenge decisions when necessary.
