Sisk is an International Construction Company that places a strong emphasis on performance, quality, teamwork, and client satisfaction. Sisk has a proud record of leadership in the construction industry for more than 165 years.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled Human Resources Officer to join our team and support our commitment to employee satisfaction and organisational excellence. Reporting to the Senior HR Officer, the successful candidate will manage employee lifecycle activity, HR administration and first-line HR queries for our workforce, working closely with an experienced HR Team based in Ireland. We believe in fostering a positive and inclusive work environment where every team member can thrive and contribute to our collective success.

This role is suited to an organised and service-focused HR professional who enjoys balancing high-quality administration with direct employee and manager support. The HR Officer will play a key role in ensuring our people processes are delivered accurately, consistently and in line with company policy, data protection requirements and local employment legislation.

Responsibilities

HR Service Delivery

  • Act as a central point of contact for employees and managers, providing timely, accurate and customer-focused HR advice and support.
  • Work in close partnership with the HR Operations team, HR Business Partners, Payroll, Reward and other internal stakeholders to deliver an efficient, accurate and consistent HR service across the employee lifecycle.
  • Provide practical guidance to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures and people processes, escalating complex matters where appropriate.
  • Help to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Employee Lifecycle

  • Manage a wide range of day-to-day HR processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

  • Maintain our absence and leave request processes, by monitoring systems, resolving issues, and providing timely advice to employees and managers.
  • Manage the employee leaver process, ensuring all relevant offboarding activities are completed accurately, on time and in line with internal process requirements.
  • Support timely completion of the probationary and performance review processes.
  • Work with the wider HR team, to support organisation initiatives, communications, and events.

  • Provide ad hoc data, reports, letters and employee information for HR, payroll and management purposes as required.

HR Compliance & Governance

  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of company policies and relevant employment legislation, supporting HR activity in line with legal, organisational and process requirements.
  • Support internal and external audit activity by maintaining accurate records, preparing documentation, responding to information requests and completing data validation exercises.

Pay and Benefits

  • Prepare payroll inputs, ensuring information is accurate, complete and submitted in line with required deadlines.
  • Administer employee benefits, and job & compensation changes, including associated data processing, documentation and communications.

HR Projects

  • Collaborate with HR team members on the implementation of projects as assigned.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, controls and data quality, contributing to more efficient service delivery, compliance, and employee experience.
Experience
  • 3+ years HR administration experience, with practical knowledge of HR processes, employment documentation and the application of HR best practice.
  • A strong team player with a positive work ethic, a proactive mindset and a solution-focused approach to work.
  • Hands on experience of working within a busy HR team, in a fast paced, multi-site environment.
  • Effective verbal & written communication skills, enabling business communication at all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills, with an internal drive to deliver process excellence.
  • Customer focused, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and to prioritise own workload.
  • Attention to detail, and the ability to carry out activity with discretion & confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite and experience using a modern HR information system, with the ability to maintain accurate data and produce reports as required.
