HR Administrator - Galway

Are you passionate about people and driven to create a great employee experience? We’re looking for an enthusiastic HR Administrator to join a collaborative and supportive HR team based in Galway. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a global organisation where your ideas and contributions will make a real difference.

This is an initial 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension for the right person.

About the Role

In this varied and rewarding position, you’ll play a key role in supporting employees throughout every stage of their journey. You’ll be part of a team that’s focused on delivering excellent service, solving problems efficiently, and helping shape a positive and engaging workplace culture.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Supporting monthly payroll activities as part of a global HR project team.
  • Managing a high volume of employee queries with empathy, clarity, and professionalism.
  • Acting as a trusted HR point of contact, providing advice on HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining and improving HR templates, documentation, and processes.
  • Accurately processing transactions in the HR system (Workday).
  • Supporting benefit administration, including healthcare, pension, and cycle-to-work schemes.
  • Managing leave of absence requests, including system updates and employee communication.
  • Preparing employment-related documents such as salary letters, visa support, and employment verification.
  • Assisting with ongoing HR initiatives and projects aligned to business priorities.
What We’re Looking For
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Human Resources or a related area.
  • CIPD certification (or working towards it) is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ HR experience — ideally in payroll, absence management, employee relations, or immigration support.
  • Confident managing multiple stakeholders and providing excellent service.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable prioritising and working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Workday, MS Office, and Excel.
  • Great communicator who enjoys collaborating across different locations and teams.
  • Analytical mindset and proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Positive, can‑do attitude with a hands‑on and solutions‑focused mindset.
