Job summary

Camphill Communities of Ireland (CCoI) is recruiting for a House Coordinator at Jerpoint Community. The role is permanent and full-time (40 hours per week) with a salary of €44,341- €56,349 per annum.

You will join a committed team within a leading national organisation, supporting adults with disabilities in a residential setting. Applicants should have relevant QQI/BA qualifications, supervisory experience, HIQA knowledge, safeguarding experience, and a full driving licence.

Qualifications

  • BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification in Health or Social Care.
  • Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in a similar social care setting.
  • 3 years experience with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
  • Knowledge of HIQA regulations and standards.
  • Understanding of safeguarding requirements including Trust in Care and Children First.
  • Ability to lead, direct, coordinate and delegate work of the team.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Proficient IT skills including MS Office, SharePoint and Teams.
  • Full driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the house team to deliver quality care and support for residents.
  • Ensure safeguarding and HIQA standards are applied in daily practice.
  • Liaise with families, staff and external agencies as required.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as part of governance.

Camphill Communities of Ireland (CCoI) supports people with physical/intellectual disabilities and autism. CCoI operates Residential and Day Services across 15 locations, in which residents and day-attendees are supported to live an ordinary life, a life like any other.

We are currently recruiting for a House Coordinator to join our Jerpoint Community

Job Title: House Coordinator

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Fulltime (40 hours per week)

Salary: €44,341- €56,349 per annum

You will have the opportunity to work as part of a committed team, we offer a competitive salary, and you will have access to collaborative and learning work within a leading national organisation.

What you will need:
  • Hold a minimum of a Level 7 on the QQI Framework - BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification in Heath or Social Care.
  • Have a minimum of 1 years experience in a supervisory capacity within a similar social care setting.
  • Have 3 years experience of working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
  • Detailed understanding of current policy and developments at national and sectoral level in relation to Social Care within disability services.
  • An excellent working knowledge of HIQA regulations and standards.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding requirements including Trust in Care and Children First.
  • An ability to lead, direct, coordinate and delegate the work of the team while providing consistent and quality support for vulnerable adults.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, to include Microsoft Office Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
  • A full driver's licence is an essential requirement.
