Job summary

A healthcare staffing agency is seeking Kitchen Porters to support kitchen operations in hospitals and nursing homes across Dublin. The role requires at least five years of relevant experience in a similar setting or in high-volume catering. Successful candidates will work within a motivated team, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to health and safety regulations while receiving comprehensive training and excellent pay. This position involves daytime hours, with premium pay for weekend shifts.

Qualifications

  • At least five years of experience in a Hospital/Nursing Kitchen or high-volume catering background.
  • Must have three working references covering five years of work experience.
  • Valid work permits to work full-time in Ireland.

Responsibilities

  • Work on the main wash up area and heavy-duty pot wash.
  • General day to day cleaning of the kitchen.
  • Help the chefs with daily tasks.
  • Perform goods in and goods out duties.
  • Manage stock control and stock rotation.
  • Deep cleaning procedures weekly.
  • Ensure the highest level of cleanliness throughout the day.
  • Clean all crockery and cutlery.
  • Maintain tidiness in food preparation areas.
  • Work as part of the Kitchen team and follow management instructions.
  • Adhere to all HACCP procedures.
  • Maintain efficiency under pressure.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
