Job Description

Are you an experienced Hospital Chef? Join a healthcare facility in Dublin 7 and bring your culinary expertise to a fast‑paced, rewarding environment. This full‑time role is perfect for chefs with experience in hospital kitchens or large‑scale catering operations.

Your Role:

  • Prepare and serve high‑quality, nutritious meals that meet patient dietary requirements.
  • Lead or support daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, hygiene, and consistency.
  • Mentor and guide kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and professional growth.
  • Follow HACCP, cook‑chill, and food safety procedures to maintain the highest standards.
  • Manage inventory, food storage, labelling, and waste control.
  • Work closely with dietitians and healthcare teams to plan menus and adapt meals as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all HSE and health & safety regulations.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified chef (QQI Level 6 in Culinary Arts or equivalent).
  • Experience in hospital kitchens, healthcare catering, or high‑volume catering.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, food hygiene, and cook‑chill procedures.
  • Legal right to work in Ireland and Garda Vetting clearance.
  • Ability to provide 5 years of work references.
  • Excellent leadership, organisation, and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends.
