Job summary

Pudaxa Limited, based in Donabate, Co. Dublin, seeks an HGV Mechanic with 2–3 years’ experience. On-site role with on-the-job training. Must have mechanical experience with engines, diagnostics, and ABS/EBS brakes. Certification is a bonus but not essential. Annual remuneration: €36,605; hourly €18.05; 39 hours/week.

Non-EEA nationals require an employment permit unless exempt. Sector: construction; career level: Experienced [Non-Managerial].

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Fit, install, maintain, service and repair engines and related components in HGVs.
• Detect and diagnose faults in engines and parts.
• Fit, examine, test, and service HGVs and engines.
• Replace engine components or complete engines as needed.
• Repair and reassemble engines and parts after work.
• Perform scheduled maintenance to ensure regulatory compliance.

Our client, Pudaxa Limited, based in Donabate, Co. Dublin, is currently seeking HGV MechanicsQualifications:2-3 years’ HGV mechanic experience required. Mechanic Certification preferred but not essential. There are no minimum academic requirements. Further training will be provided on-the-job as required. General Duties / Responsibilities / Experience:

• To fit, install, maintain, service and repair engines and the mechanical and related equipment of heavy goods vehicles.
• To detect and diagnose faults in engines and parts.
• To fit, examine, test and service heavy goods vehicles and engines.
• To replace engine components or complete engines.
• To fit, examine, adjust, dismantle, rebuild and replace defective parts of HGVs.
• Essential knowledge includes vehicle diagnostics, and repairing & diagnosing ABS/EBS brake systems.
• Essential skills include diagnosis and repair of trucks, trailers and vans.
• The candidate must have experience in installing and adjusting motors, brakes and steering.
• The candidate must have experience in installing, adjusting and servicing mechatronics components of HGVs.
• The candidate must have knowledge and experience of performing scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes and engine tune-ups, to achieve smooth running of vehicles and compliance with pollution regulations.
• The candidate must be able to reassemble engines and parts after repairs.
• A mechanic qualification or certificate is a bonus but is not mandatory.
