Job summary

A leading vehicle repair company in County Kilkenny seeks a qualified Mechanic to perform repairs and diagnostics on commercial vehicles. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the automotive industry, a good attitude, and a full valid driving license. You will be responsible for ensuring high standards of work while maintaining a clean workshop environment. This role offers 39 hours of work per week, Monday to Friday.

Job Description
  1. Mechanical repairs, servicing and fault finding on commercial vehicles.
  2. Carry out vehicle inspections, diagnostic fault finding along with mechanical servicing, maintenance and repairs.
  3. Complete repairs to a high standard and efficiently within timelines, in accordance with manufacture procedures.
  4. Follow warranty procedures and ensure relevant paperwork is complete.
  5. Liaise with Workshop Manager on vehicle progress and defects that may need attention.
  6. Ensure job cards and relevant paperwork is completed accurately.
  7. Maintain a clean and tidy workshop environment, following health and safety practices.
Essential Criteria
  1. Candidates will be qualified as a Mechanic.
  2. Previous vehicle technician experience within the automotive industry.
  3. High standard of workmanship and ability to work efficiently.
  4. Good attitude and a time‑conscious individual.
  5. A full valid driving licence.

Working hours: 39 hours a week (8 hours a day) – Monday to Friday.
