A health and social work organization in Drogheda is seeking compassionate individuals for a care/support role. You will assist clients with personal care, mobility, and nutritional needs while ensuring their dignity and independence. Assist with highest level of care / support clients with mobility and transfer, using hoists, wheelchairs and other mobility equipment’s safely. Provide nutritional support, including meal preparation, serving, and assistance with feeding as per dietary requirements. Observe, monitor, and report changes in Residents physical or emotional condition to supervising nurses or managers. Participate in individual care planning, contributing to goal setting and review of progress. Maintain accurate and timely care documentation and daily reports in compliance with standards. Provide social and emotional support, engaging residents in recreational and therapeutic activities. Adhere to infection prevention and control procedures, including hand hygiene and PPE use. Follow manual handling and health & safety policies, ensuring a safe environment for clients and colleagues. Assist residents with personal care needs bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and continence management. Support clients in maintaining independence and dignity, encouraging active participation in daily life. Assist in administering medication support (where appropriately trained and delegated). Respect and maintain client confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times. Participate in training, supervision, and team meetings to maintain professional development. Communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care. Respond promptly and appropriately to emergency situations or incidents, reporting as required. Ensure that all equipment and supplies are properly cleaned, maintained, and stored. Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive care environment for all Residents. Understand, and ensure the implementation of, the Hopeyousee Health and Safety policy, and Emergency and Fire procedures. Maintain professional knowledge and competence. Attend mandatory training days/courses, on or off site, as and when required. Participate in relevant external training to achieve required qualifications. Ensure that all information of confidential nature gained in the course of duty is not divulged to third parties. Promote and ensure the good reputation of Hopeyousee.
