Qualifications

• Proven MIG welding experience on heavy machinery or structural steel.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and take accurate measurements.
• Experience preparing, cutting and fitting steel components prior to welding.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding on quarry machinery and equipment.
• Set up MIG welding equipment, selecting wire, shielding gas and settings.
• Clean and prepare steel components using grinders and cutting tools before welding.
• Conduct repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal functioning of heavy machinery.
• Diagnose issues and implement repairs promptly.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company regulations.
• Work with maintenance team to minimize equipment downtime.
