Job description

The purpose of this role is to support our clients with all aspects of their day-to-day living. You will provide care in the client's home, and it is essential that all services are delivered in a safe, compassionate, and caring manner.

Responsibilities include providing personal care, toileting, meal preparation, moving and transferring, Alzheimer's, Dementia, and high dependency care, supervising medication, and light housework/basic shopping needs.

Follow the client's Care Plan, support social interactions and activities, provide companionship, and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families.

Be punctual, manage time effectively, observe confidentiality policies, communicate any changes or concerns to the office, and report incidents. Adhere to health and safety regulations.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Have QQI Level 5 in Healthcare with relevant modules completed or in progress (assistance provided).
  • Have a clean Garda Vetting Certificate and International Police Clearance Certificate (if applicable).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliability, dedication, diligence, and trustworthiness. Understanding of GDPR when working with the elderly.
  • Fluent in English, both verbally and written.
  • Must be eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland.
