Job summary

Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) is seeking Healthcare Assistants (Personal Assistants) to support members across Co.Donegal, including Donegal Town and surrounding areas. Roles are offered on a full-time or part-time basis, with weekday shifts and every second weekend.

You will assist with personal care, domestic tasks, and social activities in members' homes and communities. Ideal candidates will hold QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or equivalent, possess a valid driver's licence, and have

Responsibilities

• Enable members to achieve maximum independence in daily living by assisting with personal care, domestic, social and educational support, travel and companionship.

• Coordinate with other home support staff and liaise with the Assisted Living Service Coordinator and Scheduling staff.

We are excited to invite applications from committed and caring Healthcare Assistants (Personal Assistants) who are interested in joining our growing team in Co.Donegal.

The Areas To Be Covered Are

• Donegal Town, Mountcharles, Inver, Dunkineely, Ardara, Killybegs, Kilcar and Carrick

The positions on offer are Full-time (39 hours per week) and Part-time (18.5 hours per week)

Overall, Purpose of Job

The purpose of the role is to enable our members to achieve maximum independence in all aspects of daily living, by assisting in one or more of the following areas: personal care, domestic assistance, social and educational assistance, travel and companionship.

This role takes place in the homes and communities of our members.

Liaison

There are several key relationships, which should be fostered and developed for the successful implementation of this role. Liaise and coordinate with other identified home support staff as required and maintain close communication with the Assisted Living Service Coordinator and Scheduling staff.

What we Require:

• QQI level 5 (Major Award) in Healthcare Support or similar qualification in Social Care is essential

What We Offer

Salary range for this position is €16.52- €18.39 per hour depending on experience

Before 8am and after 8pm - from €20.65 to €22.98 per hour

Sunday - from €24.58 to €27.58 per hour

Public Holidays - from €33.04 to €36.78 per hour
