Overview

Healthcare Assistants - South Dublin Region

Locations: The Fern Dean Nursing Home (Blackrock), The Four Ferns Nursing Home (Foxrock), The Fern Dean Stepaside (Dublin 18)

Permanent, Full-Time | 39 Hours per Week

Salary: €14.50 - €16.00 per hour + benefits

Eligibility to Work in Ireland: Due to immediate service requirements, this role is open to applicants who hold EU/EEA citizenship with the right to work in Ireland without restriction. Unfortunately, we are not in a position to support visa applications or work permits for this role at this time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality personal care to residents
  • Motivate and support care assistants, and supervise assigned shifts
  • Assist new residents and help them feel welcome and secure
  • Organise daily work plans with nursing staff
  • Support all aspects of residents' daily living - washing, dressing, toileting, dining, social activities and companionship
Requirements
  • QQI Level 5 in healthcare (or equivalent)
  • 2+ years' experience in elder care
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong supervisory and motivational skills
  • OR Nursing/Allied Health/Healthcare -related Degree
