Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking Healthcare Assistants/ carers to provide in-home support in Rochestown, Cork. You will help clients live independently at home with dignity, delivering personal care, meal support, medication prompting, and light housekeeping.

We offer full-time or part-time positions, free QQI Level 5 training, structured induction, and opportunities for career progression within the company. A Garda vetting process, uniform, and on-call management support are provided.

Qualifications

• EU/EEA citizenship or unrestricted right to work in Ireland is required
• A driving licence is not required for this role but is beneficial
• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support is desirable, if you do not hold it, we will fully support you to complete it
• A genuine motivation to support people in your community to live with independence and dignity

Responsibilities

• Delivering personal care including support with mobility, dressing, and continence care with dignity and respect at all times
• Assisting with meal preparation and light housekeeping
• Providing medication prompts and maintaining accurate, timely records
• Travel between client visits within your local area
• Observing client wellbeing and escalating any concerns promptly to the local office management
• Building a professional, trusted relationship with your client and their family
• Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and privacy at all times

What the Role Involves

Pay & Benefits

Hourly rates up to €18.53. Premium rates for weekends, bank holidays, qualifications, and length of service, your pay grows with you.

• Travel between client visits in your local area using your own vehicle - mileage fully reimbursed.
