You will join a dedicated team focused on enabling people we support to live their best life with dignity and autonomy. We offer on-the-job training including Studio III and medication training, a supportive, inclusive work environment and opportunities to develop professionally through ongoing training and experience.

EXCITING OPPORTUNITY - We have a new opportunity for Care Assistants to work in an individualised, bespoke service Tuam, Co. Galway. Join our dedicated team, make a difference for the people we support to live their best life.

Ability West provides a wide range of high-quality services to children and adults with intellectual disabilities and autism across Galway City and County. Services provided are day, residential, short breaks, community supports, rehabilitative training and multi-disciplinary supports. Essential Criteria

• FETAC Health Care Level 5
• Applicants must possess the competencies and skills appropriate to working with persons with an intellectual disability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic personality.
• An ability to advocate on behalf of people we support.
• Full current driving license with access to your own vehicle
