Job summary

Access Healthcare is seeking compassionate Healthcare Assistants to join our Westmeath team on flexible agency shifts across counties. You’ll provide high-quality care to individuals with intellectual disabilities in residential and community settings, with full control over when and where you work.

We offer weekly pay, holiday pay, and a supportive agency structure that helps you build experience while prioritising your needs.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare (Minimum of 3 Core Modules).
• Minimum 6 months recent experience in the Republic of Ireland.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities is desirable.
• Full eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and daily living support.
• Assist service users with hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and medication support as per training.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and respectful environment.
• Follow individual care and support plans.
• Promote dignity, choice, independence, and inclusion.
• Observe and report changes in a service user’s condition or behaviour.
• Work effectively as part of a wider care team.
