  • Current and valid Infection Control, Manual & Resident Moving & Handling, and Safeguarding certificates are needed (training can be provided).

Employer: SONAS NURSING HOMES MANAGEMENT CO LIMITED
Location of Employment: Our Lady of Lourdes Care Facility, Kilcummin Village, Killarney, Co Kerry, V93 A279

Minimum Annual Remuneration: €30,000
Weekly Hours: 39 hours per week

Support and assist residents in fulfilling activities of daily living, enabling them to be as independent as possible. Deliver a high standard of person‑centred care, ensuring all practices reflect the privacy, dignity, and respect of our residents. Establish and maintain relationships with residents based on respect and equality. Promote, encourage, and practice the ethos of person‑centred care. Participate in organising and carrying out social outings and in‑house activities. Maintain residents’ dining rooms, living areas, and bedrooms in a neat, presentable, and hygienic state.

Education & Qualifications

Must have started or completed FETAC/QQI Major Award Level 5 in Healthcare or a related field, or equivalent. Modules in Care of the Older Person, Infection Prevention & Control, Nutrition, and Palliative Care Support are desirable. Current and valid Infection Control, Manual & Resident Moving & Handling, and Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults certificates (training can be provided if required).

Essential Skills

Desirable Skills

Previous experience in healthcare or residential care settings.
