Job summary

Dovida Ireland is seeking caring individuals to join our home care team, supporting clients in their own homes with kindness and reliability.

You will assist older adults and people with disabilities to stay safe, independent, and comfortable at home, delivering companionship, daily care tasks, and practical support alongside a friendly local team.

Qualifications

• QQI-qualified preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically able to perform care tasks and mobility support.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities.
• Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Provide personal care (bathing, dressing, hygiene) as needed.
• Run errands or accompany clients to appointments.

About the role

At Dovida, you’re not “just a carer”, you are the reason people can stay safe, independent, and happy in their own homes.

You will support older adults and people with disabilities to live safely, comfortably, and independently at home. Your day may include:

• Meaningful companionship and conversation
• Light housekeeping and meal preparation
• Providing personal care (bathing, dressing, hygiene)
• Running errands or accompanying clients to appointments

• A good communicator who enjoys helping others
• Physically able for the role
• Flexible with visit times
• (Desirable) QQI-qualified, with a full driving licence and/or previous care experience
