What you’ll do:
Role Purpose

The Health Services Specialist supports the design, implementation, and scaling of integrated health, safety and wellbeing strategies across both Ireland and UK locations, fostering a people‑centric work environment. This position partners with cross‑functional stakeholders - P&C teams, Facilities, Safety & Security, Legal, Leadership Teams and the Global Health, Safety & Well‑Being team - to embed health & wellbeing as core elements of the employee experience and organizational success. It also plays a critical role in advancing the RUN HEALTHY framework and local legal principles throughout both Ireland and the UK to prevent, early detect and minimize work‑related productivity loss while complying with legal requirements and organizational policies.

This role sits in the Head of People & Culture office for EMEA.

The Health Services Specialist will be an implementer, coordinator and networker, as well as a cultural translator, and a changemaker – ensuring that both locations are not only compliant but also thriving.

Responsibilities
  • Support the development and delivery of health, safety, and wellness programs tailored to evolving workforce needs (e.g., hybrid work, psychological safety, burnout).
  • Support the alignment of programs with SAP’s People Strategy and Global Health & Safety Management Standard.
  • Help ensure compliance with all relevant Irish & UK legislation, with support from respective legal teams.
  • Track regulatory changes and, where relevant, update policies, processes, and training (or support these updates across other functions).
  • Co‑ordinate / Support / Lead both Irish and UK Health, Safety & Wellbeing Councils; run quarterly meetings and drive follow‑up actions.
  • Support joint health and safety committees where required by local legislation.
  • Drive and support awareness campaigns that foster a culture of wellbeing and wellbeing engagement.
  • Where relevant, facilitate health and safety awareness to employees and managers.
  • Collaborate with functions such as Total Rewards and Facilities to embed inclusive wellbeing into the employee journey.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and escalation point for H&S and wellbeing concerns.
  • Partner with peers throughout the Global Health, Safety & Well‑Being structure to help foster a common approach to Health and wellbeing topics, reduce/remove duplication, ensure key topics (e.g. menopause awareness) are globalised and not localised.
  • Support the management of the Run Healthy budgets and oversee vendors for mental health and safety programming.

  • Strong self‑starter with a track record of resolving complex issues.
  • Skilled in project management, with the ability to lead from concept to delivery.
  • Excellent communicator, able to influence senior leaders and adapt to different audiences.
  • Strategic, data‑driven thinker who can connect compliance, culture, and outcomes.
  • Comfortable shifting between support, coordination, high‑level planning and hands‑on implementation.
Preferred Experience & Knowledge
  • Understanding of UK and Ireland health & safety frameworks and legislation.
  • Experience in HR, employee experience, or workplace operations.
  • Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and participating in / running councils or committees.
  • Familiarity with mental health strategies and inclusive wellness.
  • Budgeting and vendor management experience.
