Vickerstock partners with a leading food manufacturing organisation to appoint a Health & Safety Officer. You will support day‑to‑day H&S activities in a busy manufacturing environment, reporting to the H&S Manager.

Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma or recognised qualification in Health & Safety.
• Approximately 1+ years' post‑qualification Health & Safety experience.
• Practical understanding of workplace Health & Safety and risk management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and ongoing improvement of Health & Safety systems, policies and procedures.
• Work with operational teams to ensure safe working practices are effectively implemented.
• Assist with workplace and operational risk assessments.
• Support accident, incident and near‑miss investigations, including evidence gathering and reporting.
• Track corrective and preventive actions through to completion.
• Maintain accurate H&S documentation, investigation reports and risk management records.
• Provide training and guidance on H&S systems and reporting processes.
• Support the wider H&S team with site risk management activities.
• Identify opportunities to continually improve H&S performance across the site.
