About the Role: H&S Officer

Health & Safety Officer H&S Officer is responsible for providing support and advice to all activities in relation to Health and Safety matters. Also responsible for tracking and mitigation of H&S incidents within the production plant and liaising with insurers on required matters. Ensures the correct procedure for monitoring risk, creating and updating policies and procedures and other H&S matters.

Main Responsibilities
GENERAL
  • Ensure health and safety risks are identified, evaluated and mitigated on site.
  • Support H&S objectives in accordance with Regional guidelines and key stakeholders.
  • Assist incident investigations to determine true root causes and define appropriate action plans.
  • Maintain and regularly update an overview of Health and Safety regulations applicable to the site.
  • Work to support all stakeholders to maintain full compliance with regulatory and regional requirements, including preparation and filing of required documentation.
  • Monitor and verify adherence to work safety standards and procedures as well as implementation of all corrective actions identified during audits, inspections, risk assessments, etc.
  • Regular reporting on metrics, status, issues and incidents to Region H&S.
  • Contribute to the development of and ensure the implementation of the H&S Regional Strategic long‑term Plan in full alignment with the Group Strategic Plan.
  • Raising PO’s in SAP when required.
Who we are looking for
  • Higher Diploma (level 7 or 8) or Degree qualified.
  • Chartered member of IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience.
  • Ability to deliver training modules to all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Hands‑on approach, highly motivated and resilient.
