Job summary

Bluebird Care Dublin South is looking for Healthcare Assistants to visit older people in their own homes across Dublin South and help with daily tasks to keep them independent.

Roles are 25+ hours per week, with full-time up to 40 hours or part-time minimum 25 hours. From €14.25 per hour, plus Sunday premium, mileage paid, travel pay, and opportunities for upskilling.

Qualifications

• Available for at least 25 hours a week
• Right to work in Ireland with no weekly hour limit
• Own transport (e-bike/e-scooter or car) to travel between calls
• Excellent English
• Kindness, patience and respect for people in their own homes
• Care experience is a plus, not essential

Healthcare Assistant - Home Care, Dublin South (at least 25 hours a week)

Some of the people we care for have lived in the same house for fifty years. Our job is to help them stay there. As a Healthcare Assistant you'll visit older people in their own homes across Dublin South and help with the everyday things that keep them independent.

Please read before you apply: every role, full-time or part-time, is at least 25 hours a week. If your visa or permission limits you to 20 hours a week (for example, Stamp 2), this role isn't suitable. You need the right to work in Ireland with no limit on your hours.

What you'll do

• Personal care, washing and dressing, always with dignity
• Prepare meals and help with eating and drinking
• Help clients move around their home safely
• Offer companionship: a chat, a cup of tea, someone who notices
• Encourage clients to do as much as they can for themselves

What we offer

From €14.25 an hour, plus a Sunday premium

Requirements
