Job summary

A local care facility in Dublin is seeking a Health Care Assistant and Social Care Worker to support individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism. The role involves ensuring compliance with HIQA standards and supporting individuals in a residential setting. The ideal candidate will have QQI Level 5 in Healthcare and experience in a similar environment, providing personal care and support to enhance the quality of life for those in care.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children/adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism.
  • Experience in a HIQA regulation environment.
  • Full Clean Driving License.

Responsibilities

Job Description

We are recruiting a Health care assistant to help support a person with an intellectual disability and/or Autism to enjoy an ordinary life while being supported and empowered so that they can live their life to the fullest within a residential setting.

Duties
  • Support the team to ensure that the service you provide complies with the applicable HIQA regulations.
  • Sufficient professional knowledge to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role.
  • Ensure compliance with record keeping is in line with legislation and HIQA requirements.
  • Work directly with individuals and completing administrative tasks relating to the day-to-day running of the house.
  • Be highly organised, have excellent report writing and IT and time management skills.
  • Flexibility and openness to change
Our ideal candidate
  • Relevant qualifications of QQI Level 5 in Healthcare
  • Experience supporting children/adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism.
  • Experience in a HIQA regulation environment and supporting children/adults with intellectual disabilities
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of HIQA Standards.
  • Full Clean Driving License
  • 40 hours a week
