Job summary

Glendonagh Residential Home in Ireland is seeking an experienced Health Care Assistant to join our established nursing home, focused on delivering exceptional resident care and opportunities for professional growth.

The role is full-time (39 hours per week) with a pay rate of €32,691 per annum. You will assist residents with daily activities, support movement and mobility, liaise with nursing staff, and help maintain a safe, clean environment in line with HIQA, HSE and related regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in healthcare.
• Level 5 qualification including Leaving Certificate/ Leaving Certificate Applied/ Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme.
• Desirable: Communications, Interpersonal Skills, Teamwork, Time Management, Initiative.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing and eating.
• Assist in maintaining safe levels of care and ensuring safe practice.
• Liaise with and carry out the instructions of the nurse in charge and other allied professionals.
• Promote the physical, emotional, social and intellectual wellbeing of residents.
• Assist with mobility and physical therapy exercises.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients.
