HEALTH & SAFETY MANAGER

Our client, a well-established contractor within the mechanical and building services sector, is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their senior management team. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Dublin, offering a strong salary package, company pension, and long-term career progression.

COMPANY

Our client delivers large-scale mechanical, HVAC, and building services projects across commercial, pharmaceutical, and industrial sectors. With multiple projects running concurrently, they place a strong emphasis on safety, compliance, and best practice across all sites. Due to continued growth, they are now strengthening their health and safety function.

THE ROLE

The Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for:

• Developing, implementing, and maintaining company-wide H&S policies, procedures, and SOPs.
• Acting as the lead authority on health and safety standards across the business.
• Managing and mentoring a team of Health & Safety Advisors.
• Overseeing health and safety performance across multiple live construction and engineering sites, primarily in the Dublin region.
• Conducting site audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Ensuring compliance with all Irish H&S legislation and industry standards.
• Supporting site teams with training, toolbox talks, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This is a senior role offering real influence on company standards, culture, and long-term safety strategy.

THE PERSON

Our client is seeking candidates who:

• Have proven experience in a Health & Safety Manager or Senior H&S role within construction, mechanical, or building services environments.
• Possess strong knowledge of Irish H&S legislation and best practice.
• Have experience writing and implementing SOPs, RAMS, and safety systems.
• Are confident managing and developing H&S Advisors.
• Are comfortable overseeing multiple sites and working with senior stakeholders.
• Hold relevant H&S qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).

THE PACKAGE

• Salary: €60,000 - €85,000 (DOE)
