Maverick Social is a fast‑growing content studio telling cinematic stories for the world’s leading luxury hotels, elite sports franchises, and visionary brands. From Adare Manor to the Ryder Cup, our work blends artistry with precision, and we are now looking for a Head of Production to lead delivery, people, and production systems across the business.

This is a senior leadership role with hands‑on involvement where appropriate. You will primarily lead production from a strategic and operational perspective, while stepping into production when needed to support the team or ensure delivery.

The Role

As Head of Production, you will lead the production function at Maverick Social. You will manage a team of producers, oversee the account management and production workflow, and ensure that all projects are delivered smoothly through strong leadership, planning, and systems.

Your mission is to ensure creative ambition is matched by disciplined execution.

While your focus is leadership, oversight, and systems, there will be times when you step into a producing role yourself, particularly on complex projects, high‑profile shoots, or when the business needs additional hands‑on support.

You will own how work moves through the studio: how projects are planned, resourced, tracked, delivered, and reviewed.

What You’ll Do

Leadership & Accountability

• Lead and manage a team of producers, setting clear ownership, priorities, and expectations.
• Hold responsibility for delivery across all client work, ensuring high standards without unnecessary micromanagement.
• Align producers and account managers through clear communication and shared accountability.
• Act as the escalation point for production challenges, risks, or bottlenecks.

Production Oversight & Delivery

• Oversee the full production lifecycle across all projects from pre‑production through to final delivery.
• Step into hands‑on producing when required to support delivery, problem‑solve, or lead complex productions.
• Ensure shoots, edits, and approvals are properly planned, resourced, and executed.
• Run the tri‑weekly production meeting to maintain clarity, momentum, and control.

Systems & Operations

• Design, implement, and continuously improve production systems and workflows.
• Ensure project tracking, timelines, scopes, and documentation remain accurate and current.
• Build scalable processes that allow the studio to grow smoothly and sustainably.
• Reduce reliance on firefighting through strong planning and clear processes.

Studio & Team Management

• Oversee the day‑to‑day running of the studio from a production perspective.
• Manage production capacity and workload planning across teams.
• Approve annual leave and ensure sustainable workloads.
• Foster a calm, accountable, high‑performance studio culture.

Financial Oversight

• Maintain oversight of project budgets and margins in collaboration with leadership.
• Ensure costs, freelancers, and contractors are tracked and approved appropriately.
• Support monthly P&L reviews and client reporting.

Who You Are

• Proven experience (+5 years) as a Producer or Senior Producer, with leadership responsibility for projects and people.
• Comfortable balancing leadership with hands‑on producing when needed.
• Strong operational thinker with experience building or improving production systems.
• Calm under pressure and confident making decisions that keep projects moving.
• Highly organised, commercially aware, and detail‑driven.
• A clear communicator who sets standards and holds people accountable fairly.
