A leading production company in Ireland is seeking a Head of Production to provide strategic leadership within their global supply chain. The successful candidate will manage financial responsibilities and ensure quality and customer satisfaction in departmental activities. Ideal candidates should have a proven record in a senior-level role within manufacturing and possess strong leadership and strategic vision. Anti-discrimination policies are firmly embraced.
Reporting to the Senior Production Director, the Head of Production will provide strategic leadership to a critical production unit within the company’s global supply chain. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that objectives relating to People, Quality, Customer Service, and Cost are consistently achieved, while maintaining close alignment with the site’s strategic goals, behavioural standards, and corporate values. The remit includes the implementation of Lean practices and the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives across production.
The role carries responsibility for financial and budgetary management and for embedding quality and customer satisfaction as core principles in all departmental activities. It is both strategic and operational, leading and developing site production to deliver on the business plan and budgets.
The head of production will also play a central role in managing cross‑functional relationships with Quality, Engineering, Human Resources, Finance, and Information Technology, ensuring collaboration and excellence across the site as production expands to meet increasing customer demand.
The successful candidate will be third‑level qualified, with a proven record of achievement in a comparable senior‑level role, ideally within the manufacturing sector. Commercially astute and results‑driven, they will possess the presence and gravitas to embody the organisation’s values, together with strong team leadership capability and strategic vision. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to engage, influence, and build credibility at all levels of the organisation.
