Working closely with the Managing Director, General Manager, and wider leadership team, the Head of Finance will take full ownership of the finance function while helping shape the financial future of a luxury, service‑led business.

The role will suit an experienced finance professional who enjoys being on site, understands the commercial drivers of upscale hotels, and is motivated by the opportunity to support growth, improve profitability, and help the business continue to thrive.

Role Overview
  • Take full ownership of a compact finance function, overseeing all day-to-day financial controls, processes, and procedures.
  • Act as a key commercial partner to senior management, supporting decision‑making across a high‑touch, guest‑focused operation.
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, KPIs, and performance reporting, aligned to luxury hotel performance metrics.
  • Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and short- to long‑term financial planning, including covenant and lender reporting.
  • Lead budgeting and rolling forecasting processes in partnership with hotel leadership, balancing cost control with premium service delivery.
  • Oversee stock control, procurement processes, and supplier relationships, ensuring quality standards are maintained while protecting margins.
  • Work closely with department heads to translate financial performance into clear, actionable insights across food & beverage, rooms, labour, and supplier costs.
  • Identify areas of financial risk, leakage, and opportunity, proactively tightening controls while supporting a high‑quality guest experience.
Leadership, Systems & Governance
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the on‑site finance team, setting high standards consistent with a luxury brand environment.
  • Drive systems review and process improvement across finance, payroll, stock, and revenue systems.
  • Oversee payroll processes, labour cost analysis, and rostering efficiency in a service‑led, people‑intensive business.
  • Manage capital expenditure, refurbishment budgets, and project finance to support the upkeep and enhancement of a premium hotel asset.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory filings, audit requirements, and internal governance policies.
  • Represent the hotel professionally with external advisors, auditors, banks, and finance partners, reflecting the calibre of a luxury Dublin property.
Candidate Profile
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • Minimum of 5 years' post‑qualification experience in a senior finance role.
  • Strong background in hands‑on financial control within hospitality, leisure, or property‑led environments.
  • Commercially astute with a practical, solutions‑focused approach.

  • Strong Excel and financial modelling skills, with solid systems capability.
  • Experience with hotel finance systems such as Sage and Opera is advantageous.
  • Comfortable being based primarily on‑site in a fast‑paced, service‑driven luxury hotel setting.
Package & Progression
