We’re looking for an experienced Head of Engineering to lead all engineering operations at our Manor Farm processing site. In this leadership role, you will drive safety, quality, productivity, cost improvement and continuous optimisation across the facility, while developing a high-performing engineering team and supporting wider site strategy.

Who You Are

You’re an experienced, forward thinking and people focused engineering leader offering:

  • 5–6 years’ middle/senior management experience, including 3+ years at senior level.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Live Food Operations.
  • Relevant engineering degree.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and people-development skills.
  • Proven track record managing engineering functions in fast-paced production environments.
  • Experience implementing Lean, CI, and optimisation initiatives.
The Role

In this highly influential role, you’ll lead major engineering initiatives, shape long term strategy and make a real impact on operational excellence and team development by:

  • Leading the Engineering function and delivering against all KPIs, including uptime, quality, compliance and cost.
  • Driving Lean/Continuous Improvement initiatives and preventative maintenance planning.
  • Ensuring facilities and equipment are always fit for purpose and compliant with regulatory and quality standards.
  • Collaborating closely with Production, Quality and Group teams to optimise processes and support capital projects.
  • Managing budgets, delivering cost savings, and maximising EBIT in areas under your control.
  • Building, coaching and developing a high performing engineering team while fostering a culture of openness, challenge and continuous improvement.
