Job summary

Ryanair in Ireland is seeking a Technical Operations Manager to lead the Maintenance Control and Bridge team, delivering safe, high-quality aircraft maintenance to Ryanair's fleet.

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Maintenance, you will drive industry-leading dispatch reliability, manage AOG downtimes, and ensure compliance with EASA requirements while developing the team and optimizing resources.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years’ experience in an airline/MRO in a similar/relevant role.
  • Management/supervisory experience and advantage.
  • Detailed technical knowledge of Boeing 737NG/8200 and Airbus A320.
  • Flexible approach with project delivery being a high priority.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in-person and by electronic means.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and to manage a team.
  • Strong attention to detail in multi-tasking situations and the ability to deliver results to tight timelines.
  • Good computer literacy (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • A relevant technician qualification (B1/B2) or relevant engineering degree.

  • Oversight to lead and develop the Maintenance Control department
  • Safe and efficient management of AOG downtimes to minimize EU261 financial impact on the company
  • Management and reduction of operationally restrictive defects (Cat 1, Airstairs, APU)
  • Ensure that the Ryanair fleet operates in a safe and airworthy condition, in compliance with EASA requirements
  • Ensure maintenance control are manned to the correct manpower levels
