Job summary

Duffy Plant Sales & Repairs Ltd. is seeking an enthusiastic apprentice currently in the 4th year of a Construction Plant or HGV apprenticeship. You will work with experienced plant fitters, servicing and repairing machinery while continuing your apprenticeship journey.

You'll gain hands-on experience, learn diagnostics, and develop skills on hydraulic, electrical and mechanical fault-finding. A supportive team and clear progression paths are offered.

Qualifications

• Currently in your 4th year apprenticeship in Construction Plant or Heavy Vehicle Mechanics.
• Demonstrated passion for machinery and mechanical repairs.
• Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Reliable, motivated and eager to progress.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Full driving licence or working towards one is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist with servicing and maintenance of heavy and light construction equipment.
• Support experienced fitters with diagnostics and repairs.
• Learn hydraulic, electrical and mechanical fault-finding techniques.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Develop practical experience in workshop and on customer sites.
• Maintain safe working practices at all times.
