Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Job Description
Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

This participant is responsible for general pitch and club house maintenance. Responsibilities include:

  • Cutting grass using a ride on mower and a tractor on approximately 5 acres of land up to three times per week
  • Forking, divoting, plugging, seeding, and goalmouth repairs on pitches
  • Fertilising grass on pitches at the correct time of year
  • Spraying for weeds during the growing season
  • Stringing and marking pitches, sanding pitches when necessary
  • Litter picking the grounds
  • Setting up nets and goal posts before matches and removing and securing them after matches
  • Putting up flags before matches and removing and putting away after matches
  • Aeration/topdressing of playing and training areas
  • Ensuring the clubhouse is secured while matches are on to prevent theft and vandalism
  • Cleaning the clubhouse after matches, including dressing rooms, shower and toilet areas, and kitchen area

Applicants must be prepared to work weekends.
