Job summary

Xeinadin Group in Wexford, Ireland, invites graduates in accounting or finance to join as a Graduate Trainee Accountant. The programme supports you towards a professional qualification in Accounting, Audit and Tax, with hands-on client work from day one in a supportive team.

You will gain varied experience across accounting, audit and tax for local SMEs, while building relationships with clients and colleagues. Office-based role with a structured development path.

Qualifications

• Completing a business or finance related third-level qualification (final year).
• On track for a 2.1 degree or higher.
• Motivated to pursue a professional Accounting or Tax qualification.
• Curious, eager to learn and ready to take on new challenges.
• Enjoys building relationships and working collaboratively.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Enthusiastic about helping businesses and making a positive impact for clients.

Responsibilities

• Support the team in delivering a range of accounting, audit and tax services to clients.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements, management accounts and other financial reports.
• Support audit engagements, including gathering information, performing basic testing and preparing audit documentation.
• Assist with the preparation of tax returns and calculations, and support the team with Revenue-related matters.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and financial information.
• Liaise with clients and colleagues to obtain information and resolve queries in a professional manner.
• Complete routine accounting and administrative tasks accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Develop an understanding of clients’ businesses and the financial and regulatory requirements relevant to them.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across different service areas while also taking responsibility for individual tasks.
• Continually develop technical knowledge and professional skills through on-the-job experience and professional examinations.
• Contribute to delivering high-quality work while adhering to Xeinadin’s processes, standards and values.
