Job summary

Independent Solutions is seeking a motivated QC Analyst to join our Quality Control team in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical/biotech environment. The role supports laboratory operations, sample management, documentation, and compliance initiatives, performing routine QC testing in line with approved procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 5 qualification in science or related field.
• Preferred Level 6/7 qualification in biology, biotechnology, microbiology, or life sciences.
• Experience in a GMP-regulated laboratory environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform QC laboratory activities in accordance with GMP requirements and procedures.
• Participate in daily QC meetings and communicate testing progress.
• Ensure compliance with quality systems, SOPs, GMP standards and regulations.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
• Support investigations, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Assist with audit and inspection readiness activities.
• Prepare laboratory materials, labels, reagents, and solutions.
• Carry out routine equipment checks and calibrations.
• Support sample receipt, management, storage, disposal, and expiry monitoring.
• Generate and archive laboratory documentation.
• Maintain 5S housekeeping and organised laboratory areas.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement.
• Work shift patterns to match operational needs.
