Job summary

Boston Scientific Cork is seeking a Microbiologist I to support the Microbiology Laboratory in achieving Quality, Compliance and Performance objectives. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, data integrity, and continuous improvement in a GMP environment.

You will provide microbiological expertise, train staff, review records, and author SOPs while coordinating validation activities for new products with NPI teams to minimize impact on routine testing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a GMP-regulated microbiology lab.
• Experience in medical device/pharma/biotech environments preferred.
• Strong technical writing, problem-solving and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Report to Site Microbiologist and support quality, compliance and performance objectives.
• Ensure ongoing cGMP compliance and regulatory standards.
• Provide microbiological expertise to cross-functional teams on regulatory and contamination topics.
• Coordinate training for Laboratory Analysts and promote quality culture.
• Ensure adherence to laboratory procedures, SOPs and quality systems.
• Lead introduction of new laboratory equipment and qualification activities.
• Prepare for internal, customer and regulatory audits as SME for microbiology.
