An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Global Tax Manager to join a growing international business with operations across multiple markets.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will take ownership of the Group's tax affairs and play a key role in ensuring strong tax governance, compliance and risk management across the business.
The role will work closely with Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, IT and external advisors, providing commercially focused tax advice and supporting the continued development of the Group's tax function.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the Group's global tax compliance calendar and ensure all tax obligations are met accurately and on time.
- Manage corporate tax compliance and reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
- Oversee transfer pricing policies, documentation and compliance.
- Manage VAT, customs and other indirect tax matters.
- Support international tax planning and provide advice on business activities and transactions.
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors and tax authorities.
- Develop and maintain effective tax governance, controls, policies and processes.
- Identify and manage tax risks across the Group.
- Support R&D tax credit claims and other tax incentives.
- Review and advise on tax implications of commercial and business decisions.
- Work closely with Finance and other internal stakeholders to ensure tax considerations are embedded into business processes.
- Support finance transformation, tax technology and digital reporting initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve tax processes through automation, data and technology.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the business.

About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- A professional tax/accounting qualification such as AITI, CTA, ACA or ACCA.
- Strong experience within an in-house tax, Big 4 or professional services environment.
- Solid experience across corporate and international tax.
- Strong understanding of transfer pricing and tax compliance.
- Experience with VAT and/or customs would be beneficial.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Commercially focused approach with the ability to translate technical tax matters into practical business advice.
- Experience managing external advisors and working with senior stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- An interest in tax technology, automation and finance transformation would be advantageous.
