Job summary

NETGEAR is seeking a Network Engineer to own our corporate network and site infrastructure globally. This hybrid role requires being on site in Cork at least two days a week and coordinating with the Director, Cloud and Enablement, and the IT team.

You'll set network standards, build monitoring/observability, and lead incident response. The ideal candidate has multi-site experience, SD-WAN knowledge and scripting skills.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in enterprise network engineering.
• Hands-on routing, switching, Wi‑Fi and firewall experience across multiple sites.
• Experience with SD-WAN and secure remote access.
• Experience building monitoring and observability for network/infrastructure.
• Experience leading incident response and root cause analysis.
• Scripting or automation skills (Python/Ansible).
• Strong communication and supporting a global user base.
• Bachelor's degree (NFQ Level 8) or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Own design, operation and health of the corporate network globally (LAN/WAN/Wi‑Fi/firewalls).
• Define global standards for network/site infra and drive automation to meet them.
• Lead monitoring/observability across network and site infra to catch issues early.
• Lead incident management from response to root-cause fixes.
• Plan capacity, resilience and connectivity for offices, labs and AWS.
• Strengthen network security with Corporate Security.
• Manage relationships with connectivity and network vendors.
• Collaborate with Corporate Security, Engineering and IT teams globally.
