Job summary

Aerogen, based in Galway, Ireland, seeks a Global FP&A Manager to lead the high-performing FP&A team and strengthen financial discipline across the organisation. The role reports to the Head of Finance and partners with senior leaders to deliver high-impact insights and strategic decision support.

You will own monthly P&L analytics, develop comprehensive operating plans and a long-range forecast model, and present the outlook to the Aerogen Board.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7+ years of overall finance, FP&A or accounting experience.
• Experience leading a finance or FP&A team.
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders.
• Biopharma or healthcare industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the FP&A team for Aerogen’s Core business and partner with senior leaders.
• Own timely financial analyses including monthly P&L.
• Develop plans to support growth, cost control, efficiency and quality.
• Lead annual budget and quarterly forecasts for global P&L.
• Develop and maintain a long-range planning model.
• Present results and outlook to Aerogen Board.
• Provide financial insights to support decision making.
• Support ad hoc financial projects for CFO/Head of Finance.

What is the role?

On the back of strong and sustained revenue growth, Aerogen are seeking a Global FP&A Manager to lead our high‑performing Financial Planning & Analysis team, based in Galway, Ireland. This role will report to the Head of Finance, and partner closely with Senior Business Leaders and other Finance colleagues to strengthen financial discipline, deliver high impact insight, and support strategic decision making across the organisation.

What are the key responsibilities?

• Lead the FP&A team for Aerogen’s Core business, driving high‑quality financial insight and influencing decision‑making through strong partnership with senior functional and regional leaders.
• Own relevant & timely financial analyses of the business performance of Aerogen to enable real-time decisions, including overseeing monthly financial P&L results in a timely manner
• Responsible for developing comprehensive, operational plans and strategy to support business growth and maintain optimal volume throughput, cost control, operations efficiency and quality.
• Lead in liaison with the Finance team the annual budget and quarterly financial forecasts for Aerogen's full Global P&L
• Develop and maintain a long-range planning (LRP) model for Aerogen.
• Influence decision making through financial data and analytics.
• Present results and strategic outlook on a quarterly basis to the Aerogen Board.
• Be alert to needs of the business and be proactive in providing direction and financial insights to support decision making
• Promote Financial Awareness & Support: Initiate projects to support the cultivation of a culture of financial literacy to ensure strategic choices that drive sustainable growth and long‑term financial success.
• Risk & Opportunity Management: Assess financial risks, market trends, and business opportunities to support sustainable growth.
• Ad hoc projects: Support the CFO/Head of Finance on ad hoc financial projects, reporting and other strategic initiatives.

What education and experience are required?

• Experienced people leader with a strong track record in team management and development.
• Biopharma or healthcare industry experience strongly preferred
• Relevant working experience with a commercial company with Quarterly reporting requirements
• Minimum of 7+ years of overall combined finance, FP&A or accounting experience and people leadership
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders, influencing decisions with market intelligence and data.
