Job summary

InterSystems Corporation is seeking a senior data protection engineer to lead Rubrik Enterprise Edition deployment and governance. You will design and operate global backup, recovery, and cyber resilience programs across on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring regulatory alignment and rapid recovery.

You will join a skilled hosting/engineering team in Dublin, shaping data protection standards and automation strategies while collaborating with security, risk, and business continuity

Qualifications

• Strong experience delivering enterprise-scale backup, recovery, and data protection services.
• Hands-on with Rubrik Enterprise Edition.
• Current Rubrik credentials (RCSA required).
• Experience with global data protection policies and operating models.
• Knowledge of retention, immutability, encryption, RPO/RTO.
• Experience in 24x7/on-call production environments.

Responsibilities

• Implement, administer, and improve Rubrik Enterprise Edition globally.
• Define and enforce data protection policies, SLA domains, retention, and encryption.
• Translate regulatory and risk requirements into protection tiers and recovery objectives.
• Onboard workloads across on-premises, cloud, and virtual environments.
• Operate backup, replication, archival, and recovery, resolving failures.
• Plan restore tests and disaster recovery exercises with evidence of objectives met.
• Support cyber recovery and ransomware resilience with privileged-access controls.
• Establish governance, runbooks, and adoption across regions.
• Respond to incidents and drive root-cause analysis and preventive actions.
• Automate operations and reporting using Rubrik APIs and scripting.
• Report on coverage, recoverability, and platform risk.
• Collaborate with infra, cloud, security, and business continuity teams.
