Job summary

The Senior Communications Manager at Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) will support the delivery of global communications during a short-term maternity cover starting December 1, 2026.

This role can be performed remotely from anywhere in Ireland and reports to the CMO, coordinating across departments to maintain a consistent voice and strengthen the association's visibility and engagement with its global community.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of experience in communications, public relations, or a related field.
• Experience coordinating communications in complex multicultural environments.
• Ability to work remotely, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong writing, editing, and messaging across internal and external channels.
• Experience coordinating communications projects and working with external PR agencies.
• Strong understanding of media relations and reputation management.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with media, influencers, internal leaders, and global stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills to manage time and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Communications: support the implementation of the communications strategy and maintain brand messaging.
• Media & Public Relations: build relationships with journalists and manage press inquiries.
• Executive, External, & Internal Communications: coordinate content and executive updates across channels.
• Crisis & Issues Management: monitor potential reputational risks and prepare responses.
• Agency & Stakeholder Coordination: manage external agencies and align with internal marketing teams.
