Job summary

Jones Engineering is recruiting a Geospatial Surveyor for our Collinstown office in Leixlip. The role combines site-based surveying with office data processing, enabling you to work on a range of projects using Leica GNSS, iCON Total Stations, laser scanners, UAVs and mobile mapping systems.

You will gain experience across multiple surveying techniques and contribute from day one. We offer full training and mentoring, with some European travel to support diverse projects.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in geospatial surveying or related field.
• Degree in Surveying, Geomatics or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrable technical knowledge with practical application.
• Good communication and teamwork skills; driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Site-based role with time in the office for data processing and drawing production.

Job Description

We are currently recruiting a Geospatial Surveyor to join our team in our Collinstown office in Leixlip.

Key Responsibilities

• Predominantly site-based role, with time in the office for data processing, analysis and drawing production.
• Work across a diverse range of projects, using modern surveying technology including Leica GNSS, Leica iCON Total Stations, Leica RTC laser scanners, UAV DJI Matrice 4 series and mobile mapping systems such as NavVis and Leica BLK.
• Gain hands-on experience across multiple surveying techniques and technologies, with the opportunity to develop a broad skill set rather than focusing on the same task day after day.
• Travel to project sites will be required, depending on project location including traveling abroad.
• Full training, support and mentoring will be provided, while we are also looking for someone with practical surveying experience who can hit the ground running and contribute from day one. Some European travel will be nesscessary, so role would suit someone who wants a diverse job portfolio in Scanning and Setting Out.

Skills And Requirements

• 1+ years experience
• Minimum (Degree in Surveying, Geomatics or Engineering) or relevant experience.
• Demonstrable levels of technical knowledge with practical application.
• Understand scopes of work and project requirements.
• A high degree of computer literacy and familiarity with BIM workflows.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work as part of a team and on their own initiative with Excellent communication skills.
• Possess a full driving license.
