Job summary

Murphy Geospatial – A Woolpert Company in Dublin seeks a Geospatial Manager to lead the Digital Engineering team. You will oversee survey activities, guide data capture, QA, and ensure deliverables meet client standards on prestigious Ireland-based projects.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll manage multiple projects and teams, mentor staff, and maintain schedules while fostering collaboration with sales, delivery and technical teams.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent in Surveying, Geospatial, or related discipline.
  • Proven experience in a senior operational or project management role within surveying or geospatial.
  • Strong understanding of survey workflows, including data capture, point clouds and downstream deliverables (CAD/BIM).
  • Experience managing multiple projects and teams in parallel.
  • Familiarity with client environments and standards (e.g. infrastructure, mission‑critical).
  • Experience with resource planning and subcontractor management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee survey activities and ensure quality and data flow throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate closely with the project team to ensure smooth handover from site to final deliverables.
  • Undertake survey analysis and post processing activities as required to support project delivery.
  • Support and enforce QA processes, ensuring data meets agreed specifications, tolerances and client standards.
  • Document and maintain the project delivery schedule in respect to critical path task and resource planning.
  • Carry out technical systems and workflow trouble shooting tasks as required.
  • Act as a key client interface, ensuring clear communication, resource planning, programme alignment, and high service quality.
  • Line manage and mentor team members where required.

Position Overview

We are currently looking for a Geospatial Manager to join our Digital Engineering department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with previous experience surveying and a keen interest in building their career in the geospatial industry whilst being involved in some of the most prestigious projects in Ireland. The successful applicant will be reporting to the Operations Manager and will be based out of our Dublin office.
