Job summary

Apleona GmbH is seeking a General Operative with a Forklift licence to join our Shannon, Clare team. The role runs Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week, and involves operating forklifts, material handling, and general facilities support.

The successful candidate will have an LF licence, warehouse or facilities experience, and a strong commitment to health and safety. You will work both independently and as part of a team, with opportunities to contribute to site upkeep and stock management.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse, facilities, manufacturing or logistics environment preferred.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime or shift work when required.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and related handling equipment to move, load, unload and store goods safely.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles and containers as required.
• Pick, pack and prepare orders or materials per instructions.
• Perform general facilities and stock-support duties (put-away, replenishment, labelling, housekeeping).
• Conduct pre-start safety checks on forklifts and report faults to the Facilities Manager.
• Maintain accurate stock records and support stocktakes.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and use PPE correctly.
• Keep work areas clean, tidy and organised.
• Report hazards, incidents, or near-misses promptly to the Facilities Manager.
• Support other team members and facilities operations as needed.
• Perform other duties as reasonably required by the Facilities Manager.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Operate forklifts (and other materials-handling equipment as authorised) to move, load, unload, and store goods safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles, containers, and equipment as required.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders or materials according to instructions or schedules.
• Perform general operational and facilities support duties, including stock put-away, replenishment, labelling, and site housekeeping.
• Conduct pre-start safety checks on forklifts and other equipment and report any faults immediately to the Facilities Manager.
• Assist with general facilities maintenance tasks and site upkeep as directed.
• Maintain accurate stock or inventory records and support stocktakes or counts when required.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures, including correct use of PPE and adherence to site traffic management rules.
• Keep work areas clean, tidy, and organised at all times.
• Report any hazards, incidents, or near-misses promptly to the Facilities Manager.
• Assist other team members and support facilities operations as required to meet site needs.
• Perform other duties as reasonably requested by the Facilities Manager.

• Previous experience in a warehouse, facilities, manufacturing, logistics, or similar operational environment.
