Job summary

SGS is seeking a Laboratory Analyst to join the Gas Chromatography laboratory in Rathnew, Ireland. The role involves performing GC-based gas testing, developing SGS GAS procedures, and compiling reports under GMP/GLP and ISO17025 standards. Training will be provided to support skill development in GC technologies.

You will work with a team of engineers and scientists, focusing on accuracy, safety, and customer satisfaction, with occasional weekend work and travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in science with at least 2 years’ experience in analytical chemistry and GC techniques.
• Experience with GMP/GLP and ISO17025 is desirable.
• Strong communication and ability to work in a team in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine GC-based gas testing and instrument reports.
• Prepare GCs for testing and conduct system suitability tests.
• Analyze and compile results into clear lab reports in a timely manner.
• Support development and validation of GC methods under supervision.
• Adhere to GMP/GLP and ISO17025 requirements and safety protocols.
