Job summary

FNZ Ireland is seeking a diligent Fund Accounting professional to deliver high-quality valuation, NAV calculations, and accurate financial reporting for our client base. You will oversee trade execution with international managers, monitor liquidity, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes deep analytical rigor, attention to detail, and proactive process improvements within a fast-paced team environment in Dublin.

Qualifications

• Degree in Commerce, Business Studies, Economics, Finance, Accounting or Mathematics or related discipline.
• 1–3 years' experience in Fund Accounting, Financial Services, Investment Operations or similar.
• Strong understanding of fund accounting principles, unit pricing and reconciliation processes.
• Excellent analytical and numerical accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high-quality Fund Accounting service to FNZ Ireland's clients.
• Produce accurate fund valuations and NAVs, meeting deadlines and regulatory requirements.
• Review and analyse fund accounting information to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Execute trades with international fund managers in line with client mandates.
• Manage treasury activities and monitor cash positions for liquidity.

The Job:

• Providing a high-quality Fund Accounting service to FNZ Ireland's clients and acting as a key point of contact for operational and accounting queries.
• Producing accurate and timely fund valuations and Net Asset Values (NAVs), ensuring all deadlines and regulatory requirements are met.
• Reviewing and analysing fund accounting information to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Executing trades with international fund managers in accordance with client mandates and investment guidelines.
• Managing treasury activities and monitoring cash positions to ensure efficient liquidity management.
• Recording, reviewing and validating fund transactions in an accurate and timely manner.
• Performing complex reconciliations and investigating reconciling items to resolution.
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial and statutory reporting requirements.
• Liaising directly with clients, custodians, fund managers, brokers, auditors and banking partners on operational matters.
• Supporting new client onboarding, fund launches and change initiatives.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls and operational efficiency.
• Assisting in the training and development of junior team members and providing guidance on day‑to‑day activities.
• Utilising FNZ's technology platforms and reporting tools to investigate issues and enhance service delivery.
• Ensuring all activities are performed in line with internal controls, policies and regulatory requirements.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in Fund Accounting, Investment Operations, Financial Services Operations or a related discipline. They will demonstrate strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to take ownership of deliverables within a fast‑paced environment. They should also have:

• A degree in Commerce, Business Studies, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or a related discipline.
• 1-3 years' experience in Fund Accounting, Financial Services, Investment Operations or a similar role.
• A strong understanding of fund accounting principles, unit pricing and reconciliation processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a high level of numerical accuracy.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with SQL, Power BI, data analytics or automation tools would be advantageous.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet challenging deadlines.
• A proactive approach to identifying issues and driving improvements.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A customer‑focused mindset and commitment to delivering high‑quality service.
• Knowledge of a European language would be beneficial but not essential.
• The ability to work independently while contributing positively within a collaborative team environment.
