Job summary

Supermacs at N17 Tuam Plaza in Tuam, County Galway, is hiring a full-time Deli Assistant. You will work daytime hours, 5 days out of 7, including weekends, in a fast-paced deli environment, ensuring high standards of service, food hygiene, and store presentation.

The role involves serving customers, assisting with stock, maintaining HACCP compliance, and supporting the store team to deliver a great customer experience. Experience in customer care is valued; full training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service in a deli/retail environment is preferred.
• Availability to work 5 days out of 7, including daytime hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner and provide exceptional customer care.
• Communicate effectively with customers and staff.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and refer to store manager when appropriate.
• Maintain food hygiene standards and HACCP compliance.
• Rotate stock to minimise waste and conduct stock takes as instructed.
• Monitor deli temperatures and uphold HACCP records.
• Assist with stock receiving and deli presentation.
