ElevenLabs is seeking a Full-Stack Engineer with a backend lean to join the Music team. You’ll work with research, build production APIs, and help take model improvements into production while aligning with growth and enterprise needs.

You’ll collaborate across legal, safety, design and enterprise customers, owning end-to-end delivery and prototyping ideas for production with a strong ownership mindset.

• Demonstrated ability to decompose vague goals into concrete work without reliance on tickets.
• Ability to partner with research, safety, growth and enterprise customers across disciplines.

About the role

The Music team owns music and sound effects end to end at ElevenLabs. We turn research breakthroughs into APIs and creative tools, from the backend systems that bring in new models to the interfaces creators use inside ElevenCreative. Five new research engineers have just joined the music research group, and models for stem separation and MIDI transcription are in progress.

You’ll join as a Full-Stack Engineer with a backend lean. You’ll work with research and research engineering to bring model improvements into production, and build and run the APIs behind them. You’ll also sync with go-to-market to decide which features, including bespoke enterprise ones, get built next. Occasionally you’ll join customer calls when a customer wants someone technical.

Engineers act as PMs. You’ll be handed ambiguous goals and expected to break them down. That means working through the legal questions, choosing the engineering approach, and planning the launch with growth. Models set the limits, so you’ll design systems that let a better model be swapped in later. Engineering is often only half the job.

Requirements

• A strong Full-Stack Engineer with a backend lean. You’ve built and shipped production APIs and backend systems.

• A product decomposition mindset. You’ve taken a vague goal, weighed trade-offs and shipped without analysis paralysis.

• Proactive ownership. You drive work end to end without a ticket board or someone assigning tasks.

• Comfortable working across research, legal, safety, growth, design and enterprise customers.

• Genuinely excited about music and AI. You’re the kind of person who prototypes ideas for fun and pushes the good ones into production.

Bonus: music or audio experience (even as a hobby), or experience shipping ML models into production.

Location
This role is remote-first, so it can be executed from anywhere in Europe or on the US East Coast, with the ability to operate in Central European timezones required. If you prefer, you can work from our offices in Dublin, London, New York and Warsaw.
