Role: Freight Forwarding Sales Executive

Location: North Co. Dublin

Terms: Full-time permanent, office/field-based, Mon‑Fri, normal hours.

Package: €45‑65k + Commission + Benefits

A long-established global freight forwarder based near Dublin Airport now seeks an experienced Freight Forwarding Sales Executive. Working with the Sales Director, you will be responsible for generating new business in line with agreed sales targets with an open territory covering the whole of Ireland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities through market research, networking, and cold calling.
  • Build and maintain strong, long‑lasting relationships with clients by understanding their logistics needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets and company objectives.
  • Prepare and present competitive freight forwarding proposals and bids to prospective clients.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify new opportunities.
  • Work closely with the operations, customer service, and management teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and client information using the company's CRM system.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct sales experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry in the Irish market.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • In-depth knowledge of international freight forwarding, including air, ocean, and road freight.
  • An existing network of contacts within the Irish import/export market is highly desirable.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Own Transport Desirable
