Job summary

Stripe is seeking an experienced Incident Response Manager to safeguard its fintech ecosystem. You will lead end-to-end fraud and abuse incident response, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive improvements in detection, response workflows, and incident reporting across Stripe’s global services.

The role requires deep expertise in Python, SQL, log analysis, and cybersecurity, with a track record of managing high-stakes incidents and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading security or fraud incident response.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Expert Python and SQL; familiarity with other languages.
• Experience with log analysis, network security, forensics, and IR investigations.
• Ability to build automated response workflows and leverage threat intel.
• Strong communication with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead fraud and abuse incident response end-to-end as IRM.
• Investigate high-risk activity and provide mitigation recommendations.
• Analyze accounts to identify fraudulent merchants and tactics.
• Develop runbooks and strategies to improve detection and prevention.
• Collaborate with security, data science, legal, and policy teams.
• Mentor teammates and drive key IR engineering projects.
